This is for the OGs...
The Old Gamers FightClub...
...projects a bold, playful, and unapologetically energetic tone with a heavy dose of self-aware humor and nostalgia.
Voice—Who We Are
The Old Gamer FightClub has Big Harada Energy. We are old but energetic. Here is how the OGFC voice can stay consistent throughout all platforms.
OGs are Relatable – We are OGs and understand the world of the OG. Speak like a veteran gamer who’s been around the block but also speak in a way that lets everyone know that #OGLife keeps us in a place of learning and growing.
OGs are Playful – Use witty turns of phrase (“Big Harada Energy”), bold analogies (“Been there, played that, still pressing buttons”).
OGs are Confident—but Casual – Avoid jargon-heavy or overly formal language. OGFC isn’t polished boardroom; it's arcade-side chats.
OGs are Many – The #OGLife is for anyone and everyone experiencing it. We are inclusive and use inclusive langauage such as "we" and "us".
OGs have a Negative Edge – A bit gritty and irreverent, yet never mean-spirited — think “looks good and looks bad all at the same time.”Tone—say it like true OGs
The Old Gamers FightClub Tone takes on several tones. We are Self-Depricating, energtic, nostalgic and inclusive.
Self-Depricating Humor (Sorta) - We are old and maybe not so good at these games. We don't care, we embrace OG Life struggles. We wear “You Got Career. You Got Kids. You Got Bills.”—with pride and a smile.
Energetic & Pumped: Language feels like a rally cry—“Fight. OGs. Fight.”—invoking a sense of action and momentum.
Nostalgic & Warm: We talk about the good old days and the way things used to be. References to retro gaming, OG culture, movies like Kill Bill, and the FGC (Fighting Game Community) amplify that “remember when” charm.
Inclusive & Welcoming: Mantra like “You Are One. We Are Many.” and “Welcome to the Club” signals community-first language
Be the club.
